Wanted to fight people at Electric Picnic

A man appeared in court for being intoxicated  and looking for people to fight at Electric Picnic. 

Robbie Kenny, 19, with an address at 68 Fatima Place, Kilkenny was arrested at the Electric Picnic on September 5, 2022. 

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the accused was “looking for people to fight” at the festival at 12.20am on the date in question. He said the man, who has no previous convictions, was shouting and behaving in a highly aggressive manner. 

“I just want to apologise,” the man told the sitting of Portlaoise District  Court. 

“People trying to enjoy themselves and all you want to do is fight,” Judge Andrew Cody said to the man. 

“It won’t happen again,” the defendant replied. 

Judge Cody fined the man €300 and gave him three months to pay.
