One of two base jumpers who leaped from RTE's 296 metre MW Transmitter has posted incredible footage of his jump online.

The two parachutists jumped from the mast at Ballycommon outside Tullamore, Co Offaly on the evening of July 20, just five days before it was brought down in a controlled explosion.

"Antenna due for demolition. had to get one in before they knocked it down," the author wrote under the video that was posted online.

The well known midland landmark was built in the early 1970s but went out of operation in 2008. It was brought down in a matter of seconds in a controlled demolition on Tuesday, July 25.
