Uisce Éireann is undertaking mains repair works as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme

Uisce Éireann has warned of possible water outages in areas of Portlaoise this week due to works being carried out on watermains.

The utility company is undertaking the mains repair works as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme which may cause supply disruptions to Rockview Mountrath Road, Portlaoise and the surrounding areas.

Works are scheduled to take place from 1pm to 5pm on Monday, February 26, between 1pm and 5pm on Tuesday, February 27 and between 9am and 1pm on Wednesday, February 28.

“A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works,” said a spokesperson for Uisce Éireann.

“We recommend that you allow 2-3 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.”
