Midlands-based charity Cian’s Kennels, which reunites hospitalised children with their beloved family pets, is hosting a unique fundraiser this month to mark what would be Cian’s 21st Birthday.

Cian Neary passed away in 2019 at the age of 15 after being diagnosed with hepatosplenic T cell lymphoma.

The charity, which has a custom-built pet visiting unit at CHI in Crumlin, is next week launching it’s new mobile pet therapy unit at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

As part of their ongoing expansion plans, Cian’s Kennels is inviting supporters to set up a unique fundraiser this April to mark Cian’s 21st birthday, and are delighted with the response so far.

Anyone interested in supporting '21 for Cian' is invited to set up their own fundraising event – a 21km cycle, run 21km, 21 shots on goal… the possibilities are endless!

Events already booked in include events organised by Cian’s classmates at Mercy Ballymahon, Longford Town Football Club and the Cian’s Kennels team’s own doggy walk planned for next Sunday, April 6.

It’s not too late to register as events will run for all of April. Visit idonate.ie/event/21ForCian or email [email protected] if you’d like to request merchandise or support for your fundraiser.
