Alert: Weather advisory in place for Longford
The Met Éireann weather advisory will remain in place throughout today until 3am tomorrow, Monday, August 31.
A moderate weather advisory has been issued for Longford, with heavy showers and longer spells of rain expected to become widespread today and into the early hours of Monday.
According to Met Éireann, some localised torrential downpours will occur with the potential for thunderstorms, lightning and associated gusty winds.
While the showers are expected to be hit and miss, Met Éireann has warned that some localised flooding may occur.
The advisory will remain in place throughout today until 3am on Monday, August 31.
