Ardagh & Moydow launch massive parish fundraiser
A massive fundraising effort by the parish of Ardagh & Moydow has been launched to benefit many organisations in the community.
The draw will benefit the parish of Ardagh & Moydow, Ardagh & Moydow GAA, Ardagh Community Centre and Moydow Community Centre.
Speaking at the launch of the draw, local Parish Priest, Fr Vincent Connaughton said, “I am delighted to launch this draw which will benefit many groups in our Parish. There are fantastic prizes available including the first prize which is a Volkswagen ID4 all-electric car.
“Ardagh & Moydow is a fantastic community and I know that all members of the community will get behind the draw and indeed the draw and prizes will be attractive to many others outside of the Parish too.”
The draw will take place in Ardagh Community Centre on Friday, October 6, 2023.
There is a fantastic list of prizes available for the draw including: 1st Volkswagen ID4, 2nd One year of petrol or diesel to a value of €5,000, 3rd One year of home heating oil to a value of €2,500, 4th 2-night stay for 2 in the Cashel Palace Hotel, 5th €2,000, 6th €1,000, 7th €500, 8th €500, 9th €500, 10th €500.
Fr Connaughton added, “We have received fantastic support already for the draw with several businesses contributing or donating prizes.
The draw is also unique with so many groups in the area coming together for the benefit of the entire community. Our community buildings including churches, community centres and the GAA facilities need continued investment and maintenance, and the proceeds of this draw will ensure that those facilities are available to the generations to come.”
