Longford District Court: Police Property application adjourned to December

Application relates to over €35k in cash
A police property application relating to over €35k in cash will come before Longford District court in December.
The application related to cash seized last year. The initial application by Longford Superintendent Seamus Boyle was contested by Christina Doyle, Linda Doyle and Thomas Doyle.
That Police Property Act applications related to two separate sums; €35,000 and €1,710 seized on April 26, 2023.
At a previous sitting solicitor Brid Mimnagh said that only one of the three appellants initially listed was now looking for the return of the cash. Christina Doyle had claimed ownership of the property.
Ms Mimnagh said that the matter needs to go back pending the outcome of a Circuit Court matter and asked Judge Bernadette Owens to adjourn the application to December.
Judge Owens adjourned the matter to December 3 to allow for the conclusion of the Circuit Court case.
