133 defibrillators have been registered across Longford, with Longford Gardaí now urging the public to help identify any more.

Longford residents are being asked to check if their nearest defibrillator is registered on an app and to help identify any AEDs missing from the county’s records.

The call comes as part of a significant undertaking by a member of Longford Garda Station to identify and register defibrillators across Longford.

To date, 133 AED devices have been recorded in the county, however as there could be more, members of the public are therefore being asked to get involved.

Simply scan the QR code provided and this will direct you to your nearest registered defibrillator/AED.

If you know of an AED that is not listed on the app, or if the details of a device already listed need to be updated, you are asked to scan the QR code in the bottom right-hand corner of the image and enter the relevant information.

The app will then be updated with the new or amended details.
