Longford hurlers will retain National League status after controversial proposal is withdrawn

The threat of exclusion for Longford, Leitrim, Cavan, Fermanagh and Louth from the National Hurling League from 2025 onwards has been lifted after the controversial proposal was withdrawn at the Central Council meeting at Croke Park this Saturday.
The GAA now intend to pursue a development committee with the counties involved.
