Longford Leader Farming: CAP Strategic Plan information sessions planned for March
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine will hold a series of public information sessions relating to Ireland’s draft CAP Strategic Plan (CSP) for the period 2023-2027.
The information sessions will take place at 11 venues across the country over the month of March with one webinar on March 15 also planned to facilitate those who wish to attend online.
The webinar will be recorded and made available online for ease of access for those who cannot attend.
Department staff will provide important information to farmers about the changes that will occur when the new CAP commences in 2023.
The information sessions will cover direct payments including entitlements, active farmer checks, agricultural activity and land eligibility changes, stocking rates, Eco-Schemes, details on the new Agri-Environmental Climate Measure (AECM), organic farming and other important information that farmers need to know now so they can best prepare for 2023.
