Longford man on public order charge

A Longford man charged with being drunk in public was remanded on bail by Judge Bernadette Owens.
Paul Dowler (50), Ferefad, Longford was in custody at the time of last week's District Court sitting to answer a charge of public intoxication.
That alleged offence arose following an incident at Annaly Park, Longford on May 8.
Mr Dowler was later charged under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act.
Sergeant Mark Mahon, for the State, said the prosection had no objection to bail.
Mr Dowler was ultimately granted bail by Judge Owens.
He is due to reappear at next Tuesday's (May 23) weekly sitting when the case is expected to be disposed of.
