Longford motorists alerted to significant roadworks in Killoe

Longford County Council wishes to inform the public that significant roadworks are scheduled to commence on the road L-1040 between Ennybegs village and St Teresa's National School, Killoe starting next week.

The initial phase of works will be in place until Easter 2023 approximately.

This is to facilitate the construction of a new pedestrian and cycle shared path on this stretch of road.

This current phase will involve site clearance, enabling works for undergrounding of utility services and the installation of drainage and public lighting ducting.

Other phases will be carried out later in 2023.

Meanwhile, footpath works commenced on Tuesday, January 11 in Lanesboro on the Rathcline Road L-1169-0 for a period of 6 weeks.
