Longford shoppers urged to look to local this Christmas

The Cathaoirleach of Granard Municipal District has called on Christmas shoppers to choose local businesses when purchasing gifts this year.

At the final MD meeting of the year, Cllr Dalton said his main message is to “shop Longford” as the busy Christmas season commences.

“It’s very important we do that in the next few weeks,” he said. “We have some great shops in all our towns and villages around the county and we should be very proud of them.”
