New look Longford Yearbook hits the shelves across the county this week
Produced by the team behind the Longford Leader and Longford Live, this Yearbook is a snapshot of the county in the last 12 months
The Longford Yearbook 2024 featuring interviews, photos and a round-up of the news over the last 12 months is on the shop shelves across Co Longford right now.
Produced by the Longford Leader / Longford Live team, this is a very special Longford Yearbook, packed full of interviews, stories and photographs that showcase the highlights of 2024 across the county.
It has been a busy year with so much happening in the county from the Longford Lights Festival, County Longford Ploughing Championships and the Longford and Granard Agricultural Shows.
It has been a year of big milestones for Longford communities with Moyne Community School celebrating fifty years of inspiring students; Longford Town Football Club marked their Centenary in style, swimmer Darragh Greene became a double Olympian and Longford minors captured Leinster Championship success.
The Longford Yearbook 2024 takes a look back at these important events and also features interviews with Longford business people who are battling back following a devastating fire that ripped through the heart of the town.
Shane Crossan reflects on an incredible year for the arts and this is an interview with Cian's Kennels founder Evelyn Neary who was chosen as National Lottery Good Causes Hero of the Year award winner.
You’ll also find plenty in the Longford Yearbook to get you in the festive mood with delicious seasonal recipes and our roundup of Christmas events happening across the county.
Longford Leader Managing Editor Alan Walsh said: “We are really proud of our Longford Yearbook 2024 that features vibrant and thriving communities across Longford and the many fantastic events we have on our doorstep.
“We hope the Longford Yearbook 2024 will give you hours of reading and it also makes the perfect present to send to loved ones living abroad that are missing the county and want to get a real taste of home!
“As we prepare to bid farewell to 2024 and look ahead to what the New Year will bring, we hope you enjoy the Longford Yearbook and I thank our advertisers and readers for your continued support of The Longford Leader and LongfordLive.ie.”
