Praise for outgoing Longford County Council official

Members of Longford County Council paid tribute to Ann Marie McKeon at the December meeting of the authority as the Administrative Officer takes a leave of absence.
Ms McKeon, who took over the role from Ann Lee in February of last year, acted as a link between elected members and the executive.
The Administrative Officer is responsible for the efficient management, direction and deployment of resources for the local government.
Cathaoirleach Turlough McGovern led the well wishes saying: “Since taking over from Ann Lee, Ann Marie has filled those shoes very well since she took up the posting.
"I am sad to see you taking the career break, but I wish you the very best of luck. She certainly made my job, and I am sure I speak for all on the council, very easy. She was a pleasure to work with and always had answers to every question we asked.”
