St Mel’s Musical Society Longford nominated for AIMS Best Choreography National Award

Spectacular presentation event in the INEC Killarney on Saturday June 15
Honoured several times in the various categories down through the years, St Mel’s Musical Society are in line for yet another AIMS award following the tremendous success of their most recent show back at the beginning of April.
The Longford musical theatre group staged a sparkling production of ‘Legally Blonde’ with a prestigious nomination for the Best Choreography Award in the top Gilbert section.
Great credit for the much deserved recognition is due to the excellent Choreographer Niamh O’Brien and the other talented dancers who were on stage in the transformed St Mel’s College Sports Hall complete with hired tiered seating for the sold out show that ran for six performances.
Also nominated for the Best Choreographer Award are Maynooth University Musical Society for their production of ‘Cats’ and Malahide Musical & Dramatic Society for ‘Cry Baby’.
The annual Association of Irish Musical Societies Awards takes place in the INEC Killarney on Saturday night June 15 and over 20 members of St Mel’s will be among the massive 1,200 plus attendance at this truly spectacular event.
