County Longford has the highest car insurance premiums in the country.

That’s according to a survey by Chill, the car insurance company.

The survey found that the average premium in the county is €738.

Idirio Analytics undertook a comprehensive analysis of car insurance premiums in Ireland.

The study delved into the pricing practices of 10 car insurance companies and revealed the chill insurance findings in relation to premiums.

The study examined the interplay between driving experience, no claims bonus, penalty points and location. The study sought to understand the dynamics of car insurance premiums and foster greater transparency within the industry.

According to the survey, the role of geographical location in determining car insurance quotes was an influential determinant.
