Bench warrant issued for Tullamore man charged with stealing €40 of petrol

A TULLAMORE defendant failed to make an appearance at last week's Tullamore Court sitting and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

It was alleged that Nigel Kane (26), 147 Arden View, Tullamore, had left a filling station without paying for petrol.

It was alleged that the incident happened on May 1, 2023 at Applegreen Service Station, Axis Business Park, Tullamore and that he stole €40 worth of petrol.

Sgt Richard Thornton told the court that Mr Kane had 40 previous convictions including no driving licence, no insurance, no road tax and no NCT cert.
