Can you help? Woman looking for help tracing ancestors who moved to Tullamore in early 1900s

Can you help trace one woman's ancestors? Judith Makris is seeking information on her great uncle. His name was Edward Hughes and he moved from Portadown to Tullamore around 1910.
Judith is guessing Mr Hughes was in his 20s when he came to Tullamore.
''We have no idea what family he had there. I was looking for community groups on Facebook that I could post in but your page ( Tullamore Tribune) was the only I found,'' siad Judith.
There are a number of Hughes families living in and around Tullamore.
According to Irelandroots.com Hughes is one of the top 40 names in Ireland and the 15th most popular in Ulster and Northern Ireland. ''
''In some places the surname MacHugh became the English version of MacAoidh or MacAodha, meaning son of/descendant of Hugh. MacHugh was one of the clans located in Cavan and also on the eastern side of Lough Corrib in Galway where they were chiefs of the barony of Clare. Other variations include McHugh, MacKay, MacCoy, Magee or Mackee.''
