Divided loyalties in one Offaly school ahead of All-Ireland U-20 Hurling Final

With seven counties in three different provinces bordering Offaly, you are never too far away from a county rivalry.

And that is no different ahead of the All Ireland U-20 Hurling Final between Offaly and Tipperary.

Students across the county have been wearing their county colours to school this week to support their side but in a school in Offaly close to the Tipperary border, the divided loyalties were clear.

As our pictures above and below show, there were a number of Tipperary jerseys on show at Shinrone National School but the majority were still Offaly.
