Drunk driver caught doing shocking speed on motorway in the Midlands

The driver was also disqualified
Gardai say a drunk driver who was disqualified was caught driving at 179kph on the M7 motorway
Laois Roads Policing Unit detected the driver on the M7 Motorway in Laois.
“It's not all Electric Picnic this weekend. Everyday policing continues as normal,” the gardaí stated.
“This afternoon Laois Roads Policing Unit detected this vehicle travelling at 179kph on the M7. The driver behind the wheel was drunk and disqualified from driving. They also had warrants issued for their arrest,” gardaí said.
They said car was seized and the driver was arrested. The driver has been charged and detained and is to be brought to court.
