Dumping continuing at recycling centre in Tullamore despite security cameras

Dumping is continuing at the recycling centre in one corner of the Daingean Road car park near the bank of the Grand Canal.
The bottle and can banks often attract people who wish to dispose of their general waste.
The practice has been continuing for some time and a sign indicating the presence of a security camera has not deterred the litterbugs.
In the latest Irish Business Against Litter report, Tullamore is said to be "clean to European norms" but is ranked below other regional towns like Naas, Carlow, Roscommon, Mullingar, Athlone, Portlaoise and Longford, but ahead of Drogheda and Navan.
