Elderly man appears in Tullamore court charged with sexual assault
TULLAMORE District Court was told this week that a garda file in relation to an allegation of sexual assault has been completed.
A man aged 76 is alleged to have sexually assaulted a female in a Midlands public house on January 1, 2001.
Patrick Martin, solicitor, appeared for the accused man when the summons alleging the offence came before Judge Catherine Staines.
Sergeant James O'Sullivan said the file was ready and was being handed over to the defence.
Judge Staines adjourned the prosecution to March 23 next.
