Elderly woman in the Midlands charged with multiple thefts spanning 30 years

An elderly woman is due in court in Laois charged with multiple thefts over a 30 year period.

Gardaí said they have charged a woman, aged in her 70s, in relation to an investigation into multiple incidents of theft between 1993 and 2023 respectively.

She is due to appear before the District Court in Portlaoise this morning at 10.30am. 

Gardai said investigations are ongoing.
