Gardai investigating 'outbreak of grafitti' in Offaly

The scourge of graffiti has returned to Birr's streets with several walls being vandalised in the last couple of months.

“We are currently investigating this latest outbreak,” a Garda spokesperson told the Midland Tribune.

“There are several incidents around the town and they all look as if they were done by the same person(s). We have harvested CCTV footage and are following a definite line of inquiry.”

It's been a year since the last graffiti outbreak in the town, following which a man was arrested and convicted in court.
