It is quickly establishing a reputation as one of the Midlands' leading organic stores offering staple foods and vegan products such as plant-based milk alternatives, dairy-free cheeses, vegan yogurts, tofu, mock meats, sauces, snacks and vegan supplements.

As well as stocking a huge and varied range of food products, Health Cultures also sells a comprehensive range of other items from household cleaning products to toiletries.

It is located in the centre of Tullamore, in the William St Mall which boasts entrances from Tullamore's main thoroughfare, William St, and Market Square, which offers plenty of parking opportunities for customers.

Owner Anna Hafeez saw the need for an all-embracing organic store in Tullamore from when she was diagnosed as dairy and gluten intolerant in 2017.

"This proved a big problem for me at the time," revealed Anna who recalled she had to travel out of town and also shop online to source her basic needs.

Added Anna; "I started to think about opening a business to cater for the needs of people with the same problems as I have."

"I wanted to help people with the same health problems as many of us with different kinds of allergies tend to stay at home and order what we need online."

Just short of two months ago, Anna's dream became a reality when Health Cultures opened its doors for business in Tullamore.

Since then the response from the public has been phenomenal and business is growing each week.

Health Cultures places a big emphasis on sourcing products from local producers with long-established Lough Boora Farm providing all their vegetables.

Their range of honey is from the farm of famed Walsh Island beekeeper, John Donohue of Tullamore Show and Offaly Beekeepers Association renown.

Health Cultures also stocks locally sourced organic eggs, vegan cheeses, various flavours of fruit juices and kombucha, crisps fried in organic oils together with a large range of healthy bars and snacks, chewing gum, cookies, biscuits, liquorice and a huge array of chocolate.

The emphasis at Health Cultures is very much on sustainability and protecting the planet's fragile eco-system as well as catering to the needs of our valued customers, stressed Anna.
