Hit Offaly trio tipped for Late Late Show appearance tonight

HIT Tullamore band Chasing Abbey have been tipped to appear on Patrick Kielty's first ever Late Late Show.

The Ulster comedian and broadcaster will present the RTE show for the first time tonight (Friday) but unusually, the line-up has not been revealed in advance.

RTE said the guests will not be announced until the show airs in less than half an hour (9.35pm, RTE 1).

But sources in Tullamore have said that trad dance pop trio Chasing Abbey could be among the performers as the show returns for a new season following the departure of Ryan Tubridy from the state broadcaster.

Teddy C (Ted Conway), Ro (Ronan Bell) and Bee (Jonathan Byrne) have scored a massive hit with Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses) and attracted a massive crowd to their set at Electric Picnic.
