A decision is due this week on a development planned for High Street, in Tullamore.

Meanwhile another applicant has given notice that he intends to seek permission to build a terrace of four three bedroom, three storey town houses at O'Neill Place, High Street, Tullamore.
The application in the name of Oliver Spollen will include bicycle parking, a new footpath in front of the development as part of the modifications to the High Street Car park.
Last year Offaly County Council gave the green light for a large mixed use development also at O'Neill Place,
The application in the name of James O’Connor proposes a two, three and four storey commercial development with ground floor retail and upper level office space.
O'Neill Place is one of the key opportunity sites identified in the Offaly County Development Plan 2021 -2027. These sites were chosen because of their prominence and underutilisation. In addition to promoting local economic growth, it is considered that their redevelopment would contribute greatly to the renewal, enhancement and regeneration of the town. There are nine such sites identified in Tullamore, including the Texas site and the harbour.
