Major refurbishment works announced for Garda Station in Offaly

The OPW has announced major renovation works for a Garda Station in Offaly. Details of works at Kinnitty Garda Station have been outlined.

The proposed works consist of internal refurbishment of the Garda Station to include painting and decorating and internal works to increase universal access within the building to include.

These works include replacement of an existing window with a universal access entrance door, new universal access lobby, new relocated public counter, new accessible wc and shower room. The plans also include a new relocated Kitchen and other minor internal alterations to create an office and meeting room.

Externally there will be the provision of one designated accessible car parking space to the rear, provision of new gently sloping accessible ramp to entrance area of Garda Station's new rear Universal Access door and lobby.

The works will also include resurfacing of the rear yard with tarmac to provide two car parking spaces, a proposed grassed garden area and proposed drainage works.
