Milestones for parkrun enthusiasts at popular venue in Offaly
Mountlucas parkrun takes place at BnM Mountlucas windfarm near Daingean every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp.
It was a beautiful Autumn morning at this weekend's Mountlucas parkrun on Saturday last.
There were several milestones achieved on the day.
Siblings Fiadh, RJ and Nathan all achieved a milestone with Fiadh completing her 200th parkrun and RJ and Nathan both completing their 150th parkrun.
Rose McKenna also completed her 100th parkrun, as did Willie Duffy.
Remarkably, all five of those who achieved milestones have completed every single one of their parkruns at Mountlucas parkrun.
All five are regular participants and volunteers at Mountlucas parkrun, and are well known by most regular attendees, so there was a great air of celebration.
Those celebrating milestones brought along a selection of treats and goodies which were shared with, and enjoyed by, other attendees.
Speaking to Willie after the event he said: "I'm delighted to have reached this milestone! I have some family here to celebrate with me. My friends aren't going to believe that I've clocked up 500km here at the windfarm since 2024."
