Offaly soccer club raises €50,000 thanks to software developed by local firm

Forty teams and 200 players take part in soccer tournament organised by Mucklagh FC
Mucklagh FC have raised over €50,000 with the help of FundMajor, a leading online fundraising software platform developed by local company Dotser.
With over 40 teams and 200 participants, Mucklagh FC organised a 12 hour Soccer Marathon which took place recently in the Mucklagh Community Centre.
The local organisers used the Fundmajor platform that allows the public sponsor a team or participant and donate an amount of money to this worthy cause which has developed a green field site in Mucklagh into 3 full sized pitches and is destined to be a huge asset to the community for generations to come.
Participants can share a sponsorship link using social media, text, or email, inviting their circle of friends to make a donation for the campaign.
'The success has been in its simplicity. Simply share or forward the web link by text, email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or other social media apps with your friends, relatives, work colleagues or contacts. The FundMajor principle has been hugely successful for targeting the global diaspora to support local community initiatives back home and it is great to support Mucklagh FC and the local community", commented Loughnan Hooper, founder of Dotser who developed the FundMajor platform.
