Offaly woman fined for failing to restrain a child while driving

An Offaly woman was summonsed to last week’s Tullamore Court for failing, while driving, to restrain a child of three years or more in a child restraint. 

Aisling Dora Corcoran, Grange, Clareen, Birr, committed the offence on November 8, 2022 on Railway Road.

Garda David Lewis from Birr Garda Station told the court that he issued a Fixed Charge Notice but it went unpaid.

Ms Corcoran had no previous convictions. 

Judge Andrew Cody convicted and fined €300.
