ESKER Arts is looking for someone to run a coffee shop and bar at the new Arts Centre which is due to open its doors in the Spring.

The contract will be for a period of one year from April 2023 to March 2024. If Esker Arts is happy with the manner in which the facility is being operated then the contract may be extended annually.

Esker Arts CLG is the new multidisciplinary Arts Centre in Tullamore, and is intended to be a key resource for the development of the arts in the region, nationally and internationally.

The centre houses a 228-seat performing arts space, outside auditorium, two gallery spaces, workshop spaces and artists’ studios.

It will present a year-round programme of arts events and activities, including theatre, music, dance, film and local arts, as well as literary and community arts.

Those interested in running the coffee shop and bar would be required to include: - A coffee shop, selling coffees, teas, hot chocolate etc, as well as chocolate bars and similar snacks. This would operate for a set time daily, Monday-Saturday (11am to 3pm). - A bar selling wine, bottled beers, water, minerals, teas and coffees during event nights.

A Theatre Licence would allow drinks to be sold one hour before event start time and during the interval. Ideally, the same operator would operate both strands of the service and would manage all aspects of it (purchasing stock, managing the accounts and staffing). The operator will be responsible for the cleaning of equipment and services areas. Cleaning products used must be environmentally friendly.
