SHOCKING: Gardai swoop to arrest woman over 'vicious incidents' captured on video

GARDAI in Limerick continue to investigate “vicious” incidents of juvenile girls fighting - footage of which were widely shared on social media during the summer.
The clips of two separate incidents shocked viewers due to the level of brutality on show while others in the videos stood idly by.
The garda investigation continues with uniformed members swooping at a bus stop in Kilmallock last week to arrest a woman who was about to board a bus.
Superintendent Ollie Kennedy confirmed to the Limerick Leader that an adult female was arrested in the town on Monday, September 25.
“A woman has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into antisocial behaviour in Kilmallock. She was released without charge.
"A file is being prepared for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions,” said Supt Kennedy.
His predecessor, Supt Paul Reidy, said in August that the investigation “will continue until every single one of them is arrested and dealt with”.
One of the videos, seen by the Leader, shows a vicious fight between two underage females while others watch on.
The second video shows a juvenile female being assaulted, again with a number of other individuals in the vicinity.
Three juvenile females and two women have now been arrested in connection with the videos, according to the Limerick Leader.
Up to 15 gardai were involved in the investigation into what was described as a “wave of antisocial behaviour” in Kilmallock.
Uniformed gardai from Kilmallock and Bruff and detectives from Bruff, Newcastle West and the city have been investigating a number of incidents, some of which have been widely shared on social media.
At the September meeting of the Cappamore/Kilmallock Municipal District Joint Policing Committee, Supt Kennedy told councillors that gardai would be undertaking eight weeks of targeted patrols in the town.
The patrols, he said, are aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour and criminal activity that has increased in the area in recent months.
Supt Kennedy assured councillors that a number of investigations are underway and prosecutions have been sought relating to incidents.
The patrols will specifically be addressing the theft and breaking into of vehicles in the town.
Cllr PJ Carey welcomed the news of the patrols and said they were “badly needed”.
“It has gotten worse recently, especially the stuff with cars. Whatever about the lower level crime, someone could get killed with the joyriding going on.
“The patrols will deter them. When they see a guard they run, nothing else will work,” said Cllr Carey.
Supt Kennedy assured locals and councillors that gardai would have specific plans in place during the Halloween period to deter anti-social behaviour.
On Friday, September 22, a juvenile man was arrested in the town. It is believed the teen was arrested as part of the investigation into a number of incidents of anti-social behaviour and criminal incidents.
It is understood the youth is 15-years-old.
