Skoda celebrates one-millionth Karoq with range-topping Black Edition

New specification brings a broad range of features to popular SUV.
Skoda’s Karoq has passed the one-million production mark and, to celebrate, the Czech brand has launched a new top-of-the-range Black Edition specification.
Available to order from October 1, the new Karoq Black Edition brings the ‘highest level of equipment ever offered in a Karoq’, according to Skoda, gaining 19-inch black alloy wheels, black roof rails and a variety of other black-coloured elements.
The car’s rear diffuser and model badging are also finished in black, while a monochrome palette of exterior colours is there to choose from.

Inside, there are full leather seats and a panoramic glass sunroof for a brighter, airier cabin. A three-spoke multifunction steering wheel is also finished in leather and sporty aluminium pedals are equipped as standard. The front and rear seats are also heated and three-zone climate control ensures that all occupants can keep the temperature just as they’d like it.
High-tech features include full LED Matrix headlights with adaptive function, Dynamic Chassis Control – which allows drivers to make the ride of the car firmer or softer – and progressive steering which changes in weight depending on the driving situation.
Underneath, there’s the option of a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic, or a larger 2.0-litre petrol engine. A 2.0-litre diesel engine is also available, linked to a seven-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive.
Prices for the new Skoda Karoq Black Edition start from £39,160 for the standard petrol, rising to £46,035 for the range-topping diesel four-wheel-drive model.
