Woman charged over death of 97-year-old

A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 97-year-old man who was left seriously injured following an incident in April.

Police received a report of the alleged assault and attempted robbery of the pensioner at a property in Dryburgh Gardens in Dundee on Monday April 15.

A woman was arrested and charged in April in connection with the incident.

The man received hospital treatment for serious injuries but subsequently died on Saturday May 25.

Police said that following further inquiries, the 43-year-old woman has now been charged in connection with the man’s death.

She is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court in due course.
