Carlow County Council will be running an expo for older adults living in County Carlow on the 22nd of October 2024.
The Living Well Expo will take place at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel and is a free event for everyone to attend.
The event will feature over 40 exhibition stands from local organisations including An Garda Síochána, HSE, SETU, Lifelong Learning, Visual, Carlow Fire Services, and many more.
The speakers at the event will include Carlow Age Friendly Ambassador, Faith Amond, and Majella Cunningham, HSE Integrated Care for Older People. Additionally, the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland will be onsite with their Dementia bus, providing valuable resources and information.

The event will kick off at 10.30am sharp with tea, coffee, and scones on arrival. Sandwiches will be served at 1pm. The speakers and information stands will be followed by a Tea Dance in the afternoon.
Joe Butler, Chairperson of Carlow Older Person's Forum, added, “We are thrilled to host this event, which reflects our dedication to improving the lives of older adults in County Carlow. The Expo will provide a platform for connection and engagement, helping attendees to explore valuable resources and community support.”
