Planning permission sought for new glamping cabins in Carlow village

Carlow County Council has received a planning application for a new tourist development in Ballinabrannagh, County Carlow.

Rebecca Smyth submitted the plans on Monday, 3 November which propose the construction of a new tourist development comprising four glamping cabins just outside the village of Ballinabrannagh.

The proposal also details plans for hot tubs on the site as well as a central common meeting area. It also lists an onsite wastewater treatment system and polishing filter, a bin storage area, as well as all other associated site works.

Carlow County Council are due to make their decision by Tuesday, 6 January 2026.
