Carlow people invited to take part in survey that will gauge Affordable Housing needs

A survey has been launched to gauge how much interest there is in Affordable Housing in a number of areas across Carlow

Launched by Carlow County Council, the survey invites people to take part in order to assess the need for homes in Carlow Town, Bagenalstown, and Tullow under the government's '‘Delivering Homes, Building Communities' plan.

First-time buyers, fresh start applicants, and any Irish Citizen or person with the right to reside in Ireland over the age of 18 are encouraged to fill out the survey.

You do not need to be living or working in Co. Carlow to complete the survey.

It will be open until 5pm on 31st January 2026 and can be taken here.

By completing the survey, people will be helping the council to determine the level of interest in Affordable Housing, plan for future developments that reflect those needs, and determine appropriate house sizes and types.

The Affordable Housing Scheme is designed for households that are unable to afford a home at its full market value.
