Gardai in Ennis have launched an investigation following the theft of a high-end power washer from a property in the Gortmore area of the town.
This incident took place earlier this month - on Tuesday, December 3 - sometime between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
"The perpetrators entered a farm yard and stole a quantity of diesel and a GX390 power washer," said Sergeant Catriona Holohan, crime prevention officer for Clare.
Manufactured by Honda, the power-washer is thought to be worth at least several hundred hundred euro.
"Gardaí in Ennis are appealing to anyone that may have observed a vehicle acting out of character in the Gortmore area of Ennis (on Tuesday, December 3) to please contact Ennis garda station. We are also appealing to anyone that is on a social media site and observes a GX390 for sale and they have concerns for the legitimacy of the seller, to please contact Ennis garda station or your local garda station," added Sgt Holohan.
