LIVE: HSE announce new hospital restrictions amid rising rates of illness in Clare

New visiting restrictions have been announced by the HSE for five hospitals across the Mid-West.

Visitor restrictions are in place at University Hospital Limerick, Nenagh Hospital, Ennis Hospital, St John’s Hospital, and Croom Orthopaedic Hospital, due to the rising numbers of patients with flu and other respiratory conditions.

Under the new restrictions, one visitor will be admitted per patient only during strict visiting hours.

Visiting hours for all five hospitals if from 2pm until 4pm and from 6pm until 9pm, visitors wills not be permitted outside of these hours.

Visitors are asked to wear a face mask, and these are available at the reception areas of the hospitals.

The HSE are asking people not to visit the hospitals if they have any symptoms of cold, flu, COVID-19 or any viral illness.
