There are not one, not two, but three Derry celebrities in the final of RTÉ One’s Dancing with the Stars.

Airing at 6.30pm on Sunday, Brooke Scullion, Damian McGinty and grandson of Creggan, Carl Mullan, will be strutting their stuff in an attempt to lift the famous Glitterball trophy.

The popular 2FM RTÉ presenter, Carl Mullan has strong Derry roots and family living in the city and beyond.

Carl’s father is well known investigative journalist and humanitarian Don Mullan from Creggan. The Mullan family and wider clan can be counted to cheer for Carl and Emily as they dance in the finals on Sunday.

Carl’s aunt Deirdre said he  continues to host the 2FM breakfast show each morning from before heading to dance rehearsals everyday.

She added: “What is amazing is to see someone with absolutely no previous dancing experience make such progress, thanks to the incredible Emily Barker, his teacher par excellence. Well done Carl and Emily and good luck on Sunday.”
