Derry Court: Man (23) returned for trial for possession of indecent images of children

Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on 28 charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of charges of possessing indecent images of children.

Adam Curran (23) of Melrose Terrace in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.

He faces a total of 25 charges of possessing indecent images of children on February 26 2019.

The court heard that 9 of these were in Category A, 6 in Category B and 10 in Category C.

Curran was also charged with four counts of possessing extreme pornographic images on the same date.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there n were no contrary submissions.

Curran said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on September 14 and released on bail.
