The death has occurred of the late Ellie Jane (Jean) Cousley (née Espie), Called home August 9, 2024 (peacefully) at her home, 122 Magherafelt Road, (Ballymuckleheaney), Moneymore, in her 95th year, dearly beloved wife of Victor, much loved and devoted mother of Sandra, Denis and Clare, dear mother-in-law of George, Lynn and the late John, loving granny of Karen, Jayne, Amy, Grace, Rebecca, Neil and Scot and a much adored great-grandmother of Harry, Bella, Freddie, Patrick, Albie and Jonah. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP on Saturday evening (August 10) from 7.00pm - 8.30pm. Funeral service in 1st Moneymore Presbyterian Church on Sunday (August 11) at 2.30pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of the late Deborah Elaine Finlay (née Millar), August 9th 2024 (peacefully) at The Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital, 9 Alexander Park, Upperlands, much loved Partner of Paul, devoted Mother of Nicola and William, loving Mother-in-Law of Jessica, proud Granny of Sarah-Leigh, Harvey-Alan, Joel and Jamie, beloved Daughter of the late Sadie and Alan, dearest Sister of Alan, a dear Sister-in-Law of Clare and precious Aunt of the late wee Alan. All welcome at her home. Funeral will take place from her home on Sunday, August 11th at 1:15pm, to Churchtown Presbyterian Church for service at 2:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Bridie Gormley, 98 Knockwellan Park, Waterside, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Bridie Gormley, 8th August 2024, sadly passed away suddenly at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late Liam, loving mother of Paul, Breege (Damien) and Annette (Cornelius), devoted grandmother to Aine and Conor and dear sister of Anne and Brendan. Deeply regretted by her loving son, daughters, son-in-laws , sister, brother, grandchildren and the entire family circle. Bridie will be reposing in her home, 98 Knockwellan Park, Waterside, Derry BT47 2JE from 12noon - 9.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. House will be strictly private at all other times. Funeral from there on Monday, 12th August at 10.30am for 11o'clock Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road, Waterside, Derry BT47 3UB. Paddy Joe O'Neill, 10 Gortnari, Moneyneena

We regret to inform you of the death of our much loved father Paddy Joe O’ Neill, who died peacefully on Friday 9th August surrounded by his loving family, 10 Gortnari, Moneyneena (formerly Lavey) Beloved husband of Rose Annie, loving father of Enda (Sharon) and John (Keelin). Grandfather to Becky, Courtney, Tiernan and Diarmuid, and Great Grandfather to Bonnie. Brother of Ethna (deceased), Peggy (deceased), Patricia (deceased), Katie (deceased), Mary (deceased) Andy, Willie, Bridget and Philomena. Wake at his home at 10 Gortnari, Moneyneena on Saturday 10th August. House strictly private until 12 noon Saturday. Funeral on Sunday, 11th August from his home, at 11.45am to St Eugene’s Chapel Moneyneena for requiem Mass at 12noon. Internment afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. Steven Smith, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Steven Smith, 7th August 2024, beloved son of Patricia and Steven, stepson of John, loving father of Eimear, Steven and Kieran, dear brother of Ryan, Darren, Conor and Lori-Ann, fiancé of Nadine Coll and a much loved uncle. His remains will be reposing in his mother’s home, 9 Drumcraig Road. Funeral from there on Saturday at 12.15pm for 1o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary's Church, Ardmore. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Maureen Stewart (née Dunne), 94 Brookdale Park, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Maureen Stewart (née Dunne), 9th August 2024, beloved wife of Michael, loving mother of Michael, Richard and the late Caroline, mother-in-law of Sharon and Fiona, devoted grandmother of Evan, Ríain, Ellie, Faith, Aoibhinn, Eoin and Cassie and dear sister of John, Donal, Carol, Martin and Eugene. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 94 Brookdale Park, on Saturday and Sunday from 12noon – 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Monday at 12o’clock for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Galliagh. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
