Eileen Bradley (née Arbuckle), 27 Clondermott Park, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Bradley (née Arbuckle), April 3 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, (formerly of Eskaheen View), beloved wife of Martin, loving mother of Lisa, Martina, Joseph and Christine and the late baby Mary, devoted grandmother of Callum, Caitlin, Sean, Jessica, Nathan, Shea and Adam, dear mother-in-law to Mark and Marc, daughter of the late George and Eileen, cherished sister of Pat, Von and the late Anne, and a loving sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt, lifelong friend of Pat and Barbara. Loved and will be sadly missed by her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Eileen will be reposing at her home, 27 Clondermott Park on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday from 11:00am to 10:00pm. Funeral leaving her home on Monday, April 6 at 10:20am to the Immaculate Conception Church, Trench Road for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Interment afterwards in At. Mary’s Cemetery Ardmore. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for her.

 

Samuel Burnside, 1 Moulton Park, Killylane Road, Eglinton

The death has taken place of Samuel Burnside, April 2 2026, beloved husband of the late Stella, 1 Moulton Park, Killylane Road, Eglinton, loving father of Sarah, Kate and John and much loved grandfather of Jack, Sophie, Matthew, Ben and Aimee. House private please. Funeral service will take place in his home on Saturday at 11o'clock followed by interment in the adjacent St Canice’s Parish churchyard. Family flowers only please. Gerard Cunning, 54 Burrenmore Road, Castlerock

The death has taken place of Gerard Cunning, April 1 2026, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Annette R.I.P. Loving father of Firghil (Karen), Majella (Stephen), Patrick (Emma), Eugene (Brenda), Martin (Kerry), Agnes (Geoffrey) and the late John R.I.P. A much loved grandfather of Odhran, Cian, Niamh, Leah, Eunan, Ethan, Joseph, Amy, Codie, Ollie and Jake. Son of the late John and Annie R.I.P. Dear brother of the late Teresa and Anthony R.I.P. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Family time from 9.00pm to 12noon please. Mary-Rose (Rosie) Gallagher (née McGurk), Alexander House, Derry (Formerly of Malin)

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of the late Mary-Rose (Rosie) Gallagher (née McGurk), April 2 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of Alexander House, formerly of Ballygorman, Malin), beloved wife of the late Eamonn, dear daughter of the late John and Bridget, cherished sister of Kathleen, Bridie and the late Shirley, dear niece of the late Mary and Ellen Doherty, devoted aunt of Sharon, Tawnya, Suzanne and the late Ian, Darren and Gavin. Loved and will be sadly missed by her wider family circle. Mary-Rose will be reposing at her sister Bridie’s home, 153 Sunbeam Terrace. Removal from there on Sunday, April 5 at 6:00pm to arrive at Star Of The Sea Church, Malin at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 6 at 10:30am.  Interment afterwards in Lagg Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Residents Comfort Fund, Alexander House. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. St. Anthony pray for her.

 

John George McClelland, 129 Rossdowney Road, Derry

The death has taken place of John George McClelland, April 3 2026, beloved husband of the late Carmel, 129 Rossdowney Road, loving brother of Fred, Ronald and the late Irene, brother-in-law of Valerie, Jennifer and Leslie and much loved Uncle John to his many nieces and nephews. House private please. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son's Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU on Saturday from 4.00pm - 6.00pm. Funeral service will take place there on Monday at 2.00pm. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to St Columb’s Cathedral. Dearly loved and sadly missed.

 

Lewis William (Lewy) McGonigle, 72 Lilac Avenue, Aghanloo

The death has taken place of Lewis William (Lewy) McGonigle, Suddenly Passed away on March 12 2026 in Las Vegas. Much loved son of William and Karen, Loving brother of Lucy (Niall) and the late Baby Emma. Also a very dear Grandson, Nephew and Cousin. All welcome to call at his home, 72 Lilac Avenue, Aghanloo on Saturday to Monday from 11.00am to 11.00pm. Funeral will leave his late home on Tuesday at 11.15am for service in Christ Church at 12noon. Followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 1.00pm. (All Welcome). Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to KBRT and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Lewis will be sorely missed and always loved.

 

Lorraine McLaughlin (née Jack), 33 Osborne Street, Derry

Funeral arrangements for the late Lorraine McLaughlin (née Jack), April 3 2026, suddenly at her home, 33 Osborne Street. Beloved wife of Damien. Loving mother of Paul, Damien, Arron and Caitlin. Much loved grandmother to Alana, Jorja, Gracie and Reece. Loving daughter of the late Robin and Kathleen. Dear sister to Carmel, Catherine, Robin, Mehawl, Geraldine and the late Harry. Mother-in-law of Danielle, Jackie and Tanya. Lorraine is now reposing at her home. Funeral from there on Monday, April 6 at 9.20am to St Eugenes Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Norman O'Donnell, Coleraine

The death has taken place of the late Norman O'Donnell, March 31 2026, dearly loved husband of Mary and much loved father of Michael, Carmel, Roisin, Catherine, Liam and the late Brendan and John; also a much adored grandfather and great-grandfather. The death has occurred of the late Willie Sweeney (Maghera), April 3 2026, Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, much loved husband of Jo. Devoted father of Kieran and stepfather of the late Shane. Beloved son of Rose and the late Paddy and dear brother of Tommy (Jackie), Paddy, Damian (Maura), Mary (John), Bernadette (Patsy) Colette and Brendan (Siobhan). Funeral from 81B Tirkane Road on Monday, April 6 at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen, Maghera. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his wife, son, mother, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. House Private on the morning of the Funeral. Family time from 10.00pm to 12noon please. The wake for Willie will commence at 12noon on Saturday, April 4 2026. Parking please at Watty Graham’s Club, shuttle bus available from 2.00pm each day.
