New away kits proving a hit with Derry City fans

Derry City's new away kit, goalkeeper jersey and 2025 leisurewear have proven a massive hit amongst supporters.

Next season’s away jersey proved to be very popular with sales figures in the club’s Christmas pop-up shop in Foyleside outstanding.

With the club having a retail presence in Foyleside Shopping Centre during the festive period, the new kit has already proven to be a popular Christmas present for fans and the shop also has plenty more stocking fillers available for sale.

The 2025 away shirt features a fresh green colourway and a button grandad collar and there is also an alternate keeper shirt to go with the away shirt.

Brandywell boss Tiernan Lynch along with defender Mark Connolly were both thrilled with the new look jersey.

"I absolutely love it. I think the green is very different,” stated Lynch at last Thursday night’s launch, which took place in O’Neills Sports Superstore.

“It's fresh and new and hopefully that's what we'll be bringing into the club that little bit of freshness. A little bit of newness and hopefully they both go hand in hand.”

As for Connolly he was pleased with the new jersey: "I really like it. I think it's a bit different. I like the colour. Hopefully the Derry fans like it,” he explained.

“They always used to say, look good, feel good, play good. It's a nice fit, not too tight. The least of my worries is the fashion side of it but I really do like it. I think it's nice."

The Brandywell men’s CEO Sean Barrett praised the club’s merchandise team who worked tirelessly alongside O’Neills design team on the design for all of the 2025 team-wear and leisurewear.
