Mid Ulster District Council is delighted to announce the launch of the Arts, Culture, and Community Awards 2025, celebrating the incredible contributions of individuals and groups who enrich community life across the district.


Organised by the Council the awards aim to recognise and thank those who make a difference in the lives of others, showcasing the outstanding efforts of people from all walks of life within the Mid Ulster area.


The Arts, Culture, and Community Awards will celebrate and honour individuals and groups within the sector, showcasing the incredible breadth and variety of initiatives, events, and programs that enrich the district. These awards aim to highlight the vital contributions that make our lives more diverse, inclusive, and connected through arts, culture, and community-
driven efforts.


Speaking at the launch, Chair of the Council, Councillor Eugene McConnell said Mid Ulster is a place rich in talent, compassion, and community spirit, and the Arts, Culture, and Community Awards give us a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on the incredible individuals and groups who make a real difference in the lives of others.


The awards are a celebration of the creativity, dedication, and generosity that define our district, and I encourage everyone to join us in recognising the people whose efforts enrich our communities and inspire us all. Nominate Your Local Heroes

The process is simple: complete a nomination form and submit it by 12 noon on Friday, 21 February 2025.


Award Ceremony Details
The winners will be announced and celebrated at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 25 March 2025, held at the Burnavon Arts Centre in Cookstown.

 Equality and Good Relations Award

 Volunteer of the Year Award
 Lifetime Achievement Award

To nominate an individual or group, visit www.midulstercouncil.org/awards. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the outstanding efforts of those who make Mid Ulster a better place to live.


Please submit your nominations before the deadline of noon on Friday, 21 February 2025 and if you are shortlisted, join us on the evening of 25 March 2025 to honour our community champions.
