Rebecca (Ruby) Allen (née McClay), 1 Knockwellan Park, Waterside, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Rebecca (Ruby) Allen (née McClay), February 15 2025, peacefully at home (in the tender loving care of her loving family, in her 110th year) much loved wife of the late Herbert Leonard, devoted mother of John, Audrey, Stephanie and Lesley, a loving mother-in-law, an adored grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, a dear sister of the late Robert (Bertie) and Jack. Funeral leaving her late home, 1 Knockwellan Park, Waterside on Wednesday, 19 February at 1.10pm for a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in Glendermott Parish Church at 1.30pm, burial afterwards in Glendermott Presbyterian Church burial ground. Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to either Age Concern (Chapel Road) or Marie Curie c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her entire family circle. “Forever in our thoughts”

 

Joseph Graham (Joe) McConnell, 85 Tirgarvil Road, Upperlands

It is with regret we announce the passing of Joseph Graham (Joe) McConnell, February 15 2025, (peacefully) at his home, 85 Tirgarvil Road, Upperlands, dearly loved Husband of Julie, much loved Father of Nicola, Aaron, Alex, Maryellen, Emma and the late Joel, a dear Father-in-Law, a beloved Grandfather and dearest Brother of Tillie, Edith, Ellen, Elric and the late Chris and Jackie. House private. A Service of Thanksgiving for Joe's Life will take place in Tobermore Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 18 at 1:00pm, followed by burial in Kilrea Cemetery (at 2:15pm approx.). Family flowers only please.  Donations in lieu, if desired, to Marie Curie, can be made online or payable to D. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore, Magherafelt BT45 5PP. Forever loved and sadly missed by his loving Wife, Family and Family Circle.  "At home with the Lord"
