Derry weather update: Cemetery closures in City and District.

Due to ongoing snow and icy weather conditions, and in the interests of health and safety, Derry City and Strabane District Council has announced all cemeteries will remain closed until further notice this morning, Saturday.

A spokesperson said: :We are currently working to ensure that burials can take place safely and that access in and out of cemetery grounds is managed as conditions allow.

"The situation will continue to be monitored closely, and cemeteries will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

"Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time."
