Donegal Manager Jim McGuinness took time out of checking in at the airport to make one lucky GAA supporter’s dream come true. 

Young Cathal McAtamney of Michael Davitt GAC Swatragh in County Derrywas also on his way to departures when, by chance, he bumped into the Donegal squad as it prepared to fly out to a warm-weather training camp in Portugal.

Cathal and the lads had a good talk about the Ulster championship and even the All-Ireland series later in summer. 

Donegal boss McGuinness was so impressed with Cathal’s knowledge that he presented him with his own personal training top. 

The new NFL Division 1 champions headed to the Algarve on Good Friday as they prepare to ramp up preparations for Down in their Ulster opener at O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny on April 26.
